Man versus machine in Portland. No contest, apparently. Unless your fish rides a bicycle. San Francisco follows the lead of Arcata, on on presidential politics. San Francisco has some of the best municipal water in the nation, via Yosemite National Park, and the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. But it's not good enough for city workers, who've been spending a cool half-million a year on....bottled water. The mayor says this will have to stop. Feeling pampered and lazy? Want something for nothing? Inspired by the antics of the regrettably unmedicated Jason Pancoast, there's a new Web community for you: Affluent Beggars. Waiterrant: it had to happen.
