I call her Christine Gre-Gore

Apt, very apt.

You know, what is so hilarious about this, but also very cynical, is the way Gre-Gore likes use the slogan, "make every vote count." Of course, there a plenty of people in King County with a victim mentality that are quick to believe that there is some conspiracy to disenfranchise them. But, many of us can see through the spin.

Unfortunately, GreGore will likely pull it off. GreGore is paying for a recount (the separation between her and the party is also bogus and cynical, a way of providing cover) only because she believes that she can get more ballots "enhanced" in King County.

If she does, there will be a a lot of hero worship on the part of angry feminists and the totalitarian core of the Democratic party in King County. But, will there be any backlash from the rest of us? Can she spin her enhanced victory into something positive for herself once a few months go by?

Gosh, I hope not. This is the worst of politics in my opinion. If anything can be made positive about this whole event and GreGore's role in it, and all it takes is enough spin, there is very little chance to turn the state around.
